Weekly Forecast: August 4-8, 2025 – Aquarius Full Moon
This week, Mercury slows toward the end of its retrograde in Leo, leaning into aspects it will not perfect: trines to retrograde Saturn and Neptune in Aries, and an opposition to retrograde Pluto in Aquarius. Contemplation goes inward; and when it doesn’t, we deal with the intense result of such in others.
As Mars finishes its transit of Mercury-ruled Virgo, Mercury’s shifting reality impacts action. Stay frosty and present, even as others slip out of time to meet you, for interference or for impact.
Mars enters Venus-ruled Libra Wednesday night, and action takes on a more diplomatic flavor. Still, a cardinal Mars will initiate, so we’re heading toward talks with teeth. Don’t assume that because things are progressing pleasantly that you’ll necessarily be getting your way. You’ve got to give to get.
Mars heads into trine with Gemini Uranus and retro Pluto in Aquarius. It also opposes retro Saturn-Neptune in Aries. This is true all week, even before Mars changes sign. The general tenor of action stands ready to pitch and roll at any given moment, which is fantastic since we may see the heavens open to send in a giant rock headed right toward us.
Venus in Cancer spends the week moving closer into conjunction with Jupiter. Want more? Need more? Want to need more and shout it to the the heart of the universe? You’re in luck. But folks who want more can be reckless, so this plays in to the above shenanigans too. It also conveys big love and immense beauty, and that is exceptionally inspiring. Successes abound, so look for your silver lining if it’s not obvious. For those who lose or are in the throes of grief, wanting more can be exquisitely painful.
Monday through Friday, we’re heading into the full moon in Aquarius opposite the Sun in Leo, exact early Saturday. The full moon opposition squares Scorpio Vesta and Juno, a t-square, and the Moon itself conjoins Pallas Athena. The Sun sets this up all week, so that t-square impacts us daily. Devotion and commitment spark any latent jealousies and rivalries, and the patterns of such are in our face.
Accusations are possible, but it’s also a time when we see our follies and rebuke them. Here’s where retro Mercury is a help: Have the conversation you’ve avoided. Perhaps something has stewed and brewed because the truth was unspoken or waffled around. That full moon ending could end a lot of bad blood. Purification is a definite possibility.
Monday’s Sagittarius Moon sextiles Pallas Athena then spends the day heading into trine with Aries Chiron, exact Tuesday morning. Want more and better; take a chance on figuring out what that is. First off, reconsider what you need, then you can work on learning the skills to get there.
On Tuesday the Sagittarius Moon finishes up its trine to Chiron then hurtles through a t-square with Saturn-Neptune and Mars. Good thing we trained up Monday, because Tuesday means busting a move. Safety first! Through this t-square, the Moon moves to Saturn-ruled Capricorn; it then heads into opposition with Cancer Venus. Can you get what you want and get your needs met? Sure, as long as you’re willing to work at it, invest, do the right thing, and give it time. In the moment, be patient and follow through. Rushing things won’t satisfy. If others try to rush you, humor them. Rather than rush, innovate.
Wednesday, the Capricorn Moon opposes Jupiter then sextiles Vesta and Juno. Help comes from connections. Being the responsible one and giving as good as you get gets you noticed. If you get a small offer or opportunity, accept. It may have a bigger brother or sister waiting in the wings to bless you. When Mars moves to Libra, it immediately picks up that trine to Uranus, an airy grand trine along with Pluto. Be nice, act graciously; you never know what can happen. In theory, mountains may move.
On Thursday, the Cap Moon spends the morning in square to Chiron, and this is probably where the opposition of Mars to retro Saturn kicks in. Kicks being the action word. Expect obstacles, even if they’re metaphorical (retro Neptune is here too). Expect to clean up some messes. Afternoon takes the Moon into Aquarius where it trines Mars and Uranus and conjoins retro Pluto. It also sextiles retro Saturn-Neptune. The breezy mood arrives to smooth the groove: pop you out of your grind. Relent, and get out of your own way. Attitudes shift, so let the mood shift too. Looking out for others along the way is a great play to ride the wake of a rough morning.
Early Friday morning, the Aquarius Moon opposes retro Mercury. It spends the rest of the day heading into that full moon t-square, exact overnight. As much as possible, respond internally to all regurgitated input before you act on it… tho it will feel oh so natural to flip it right back and jump. Whatever you usually think or do, hold that in your awareness and consider what you’d ideally like to see yourself doing. Ask yourself: Does this foster the results I want? Rethink till you’re satisfied. Then feel free to cut, jump, or swerve.
The full moon will take place at the very last minute of the 16th degree of Aquarius, wee early Saturday. Where does it hit your chart? Are there jealousies in your partnership? Not loving your partner’s (or friend’s or ?) time consuming hobbies or platonic helpmates may also be jealousy. In any case, someone’s devotions or pet projects are ripe as the cause for tumult this week.
